My Fair Ladies

Two theater companies, just blocks from each other, put on individual productions of “My Fair Lady” this season. For those who love musical theater, it was not only an opportunity to see a classic musical twice, but an invitation to compare two very different treatments of the classic show: Gulfshore Playhouse did a minimalist production, with a cast of 10 playing all the roles and just two pianos for accompaniment, whereas The Naples Players went all out, with a cast of 32 and a 13-piece orchestra. Same musical, two different approaches. Bravo! Bravo!
