    A stranded adult female loggerhead sea turtle tagged 21 years ago by Mote Marine Laboratory was rescued near the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf last Thursday and transported to Mote's Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Hospital in Sarasota. Full Story

The sea hare is more than an ocean 'blobbie'

    The ocean-dwelling sea hare gets its name from its tentacles (rhinophores) that resemble rabbit ears and its body that looks like a crouching hare. As odd as the name is, I find "sea hare" kinder than "sea slug" or "beach blobbie," which is which the Australians call this curious ocean creature. Full Story
