Junior Achievement Invitational will tee off at Grey Oaks Oct. 16
The 2009 Junior Achievement Southwest Florida Invitational golf tournament tees off Friday, Oct. 16, on the Pine Course at Grey Oaks County Club. Registration is $6,500 per foursome and $3,750 for a twoplayer team. Upon their 9:30 a.m. arrival at the club, participants' cars will be valet parked and washed. Costco stores join in tournament for Children's Miracle Network
Costco stores in Naples, San Carlos Park and Fort Myers will hold the first annual Children's Miracle Network Golf Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Old Corkscrew Golf Club. Registration is $125 per player, and sponsorship opportunities are available at several levels. Donations for door prizes a silent auction are also welcome. Full Story
Local shelter participates in national Domestic Violence Awareness Month
The Shelter for Abused Women & Children launches the national Domestic Violence Awareness Month campaign from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, with "Educating with Emery Boards." Walk for the Way sets out Saturday
The United Way of Collier County will host its fourth annual Walk for the Way at North Collier Regional Park on Saturday, Sept. 26.
