The new museum in Deland, Fla., is the only venue in the southeast United States to provide art and other artistic disciplines exclusively by women artists.

The museum will open its doors to the public on Nov. 14. The 7,300-squarefoot space will include three galleries, a gift shop, coffee lounge, meeting/lecture space and curatorial area. Exhibitions will include contemporary art, collections and traveling exhibits from quality institutions.

The museum gift shop is accepting women artists in all media to sell their work on consignment. Items must be handcrafted and will be accepted based on space availability, regional representation, quality and mission consistency. For more information, contact Kathryn Peterson at (386) 314-0403 or e-mail KPeterson@FloridaMuseumforWomenArtists. org.
