Moviegoers have new luxury option
Paragon Theaters has opened the luxury Paragon Pavilion on Vanderbilt Beach Road after completing extensive renovations to the center’s original cinema complex. The Florida-based company has a successful track record of turning older theaters into upscale venues and followed the blueprint used to renovate other theaters in Florida and Minnesota.
Showing this weekend on the six screens are “Spider-Man 2” and “Neighbors.” Disney’s “Million Dollar Arm” starring Jon Hamm opens Friday, May 15, with the first screening at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $9.50 for $16, depending on age, show time and whether the screening is in 3D.
From June 17-Aug. 14, the cinema will show free children’s movies at 10 a.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, starting with “The Croods” June 17-19. Seating will be first come, first served.
Features of the new Paragon Pavilion include: Christie Digital Projection with 3D, leather reclining seats with footrests, online reserved seating, a wine bar and lounge with craft beers and cocktails and a menu of small plates, flatbreads and burgers.
In addition to Naples’ newest cinema, Paragon owns, operates and/or manages theaters in Daytona Beach, Jupiter, Deerfield Beach and Coconut Grove, Fla.; Burnsville and Rochester Minn.; and Fredericksburg, Va.
