SPECIAL TO FLORIDA WEEKLY

SCARAMUCCI SCARAMUCCI With a global perspective, national focus and an ability to implement at a local level, the Imagine Solutions Conference links learning with leadership.

This year’s conference Monday, Feb. 27, at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort includes sessions on “The Great Influencers,” “Children’s Health,” “Adventurers,” “Voices for the Arts” and “Change Makers,” all hosted by CNBC anchor Tyler Mathisen.

“The Great Influencers” explores the culture, influences and forces that create today’s reality. Speakers include: Anthony Scaramucci, founder and a co-managing partner of the investment firm SkyBridge Capital and host of “Wall Street Week”; Steve Clemons, editor-at-large at The Atlantic; and Margaret Carlson, chief political columnist for Bloomberg News.

Speakers in the “Children’s Health” sessions include Sandra Fenwick, CEO of Boston Children’s Hospital, and Madeline Bell, CEO of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The two hospitals are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in America respectively. Paul Apsell, senior executive producer for NOVA, moderates the panel discussion that also features Carolyn Miles, CEO of Save Our Children.

BELL BELL Annie Griffiths, one of the first female photographers to work for National Geographic, is part of the “Adventurers” session. Ms. Griffiths travels the world to capture images most of us would otherwise miss. Additionally, BBC Executive Producer Mike Gunton will take Imagine Solutions attendees behind the scenes of the network’s “Planet Earth II,” which makes its American debut this month.

Piano virtuoso Katherine Liu and bluegrass guitar prodigy Presley Barker, both just 12 years old, are in the “Voices for the Arts” session. And the “Game Changers” session includes economist Michael Green, who developed the new United Nations measurements for economic development; lawyer and social justice activist Bryan Stevenson, who founded the Equal Justice Initiative; and Vanessa Garrison, whose grassroots health movement GirlTrek is reclaiming streets in high-need neighborhoods across America.
