Planned Parenthood plans ‘Myth-Busting Mixer’

Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida and its Professional Action Network invite the public to a “Myth-Busting Mixer,” the first event sponsored by PAN, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, in Bonita Springs.

Attendees will hear about 10 topics associated with reproductive justice, including intersectional feminism, misconceptions about Planned Parenthood, sexual health education, sexual orientation and gender identity.

The Planned Parenthood PAN is a network of young professionals who advocate for reproductive justice in the community. Volunteer members educate their peers on Planned Parenthood and reproductive justice through social networking and by hosting both educational and activist events. Volunteers are always welcome. For more information, email volunteer@ppswcf.org.

RSVPs for the Myth-Busting Mixer are required by 5 p.m. Monday, May 22, and can be made by emailing veronica. schell@ppswcf.org, at which time an exact location will be provided. Attendance is free, but space is limited. ¦
