The Details: Over the past 10 years, I’ve found Sam-Bucco’s Miso-Marinated Atlantic Haddock one of the best-tasting seafood entrees around. The fresh haddock is pan-seared, placed atop a classic saucier’s peach schnapps cream sauce and graced by a trio of lightly seared, sweet and tender Gulf of Mexico shrimp.

A creative angel hair tart, the dish’s divine co-star, is formed into a pillow-like warm cake with capellini, egg yolk, Parmesan and cream, then pan-sautéed until crisp on the outside and lusciously tender inside. Add lightly crunchy broccoli, and this just might become your Sam-Bucco’s go-to dish, too.

Start your continental-style dining with a luscious bruschetta, rich she-crab or meatless pea soup, a classic Caesar or the Capriciosa salad with house-made mozzarella, arugula and balsamic dressing. Wines are nicely priced, or have a drink from the full bar.

One More Thing: Executive Chef Alfredo Fregoso’s masterful touch is apparent on every dish at Sam-Bucco’s. Service is first rate, portions are generous and many dishes feature local organic produce.
