The next meeting is Aug. 10. Guests and new members are always welcome. Reservations are not required. Attendees order from the menu and pay for their meals. Pilot International focuses its charitable and educational efforts on brain-related disorders and disabilities, including traumatic brain injuries, dementia and autism. More so than wine, members enjoy socializing and working together on philanthropic and service projects to benefit the community. Members pay a $7 door fee; guests pay $9. Light bites are served, and attendees pay for their own beverages. The Aug. 11 place to be is Hyatt House on Fifth Avenue South, followed by Shula’s at the Hilton Naples on Aug. 18 ($8 for members, $10 for guests to cover live entertainment by Manhattan Connection). ¦ The Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1067-Naples serves a buffet breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, in the pilots lounge at Naples Municipal Airport. All are welcome. Admission for $5 includes all-you-caneat fresh fruit, doughnuts and pastries, yogurt, breakfast sausage, juice and coffee, with all proceeds benefitting the EAA Young Eagles program that acquaints youth ages 8-17 with aviation as a career.
