Sustainability reporting has been in great demand over the past several years and is becoming mandatory for many businesses according to Milagros Zamudio, president of ESG Consultants by Personaz US LLC (dba Personaz).

Ms. Zamudio celebrated a ribbon cutting for Personaz with the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce on Nov. 29, to officially announce that the U.S. office has opened.

Personaz specializes in sustainability reports that provide transparency and measures environmental, social and governance indicators, better known as ESG. These reports serve as a diagnosis or baseline to identify opportunities and gaps in order to develop a responsible and sustainable strategy for an entire organization.

With over 25 years of executive experience and a Master’s degree from Michigan State University, Ms. Zamudio is considered a global expert in ESG trends and regulations. In addition, Ms. Zamudio was one of the experts that helped develop the Disclosures on Management

Approach (DMA) for sustainability reporting with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in Amsterdam.

A sustainability report is a public document addressed to an organization’s stakeholders and contains information on the organization’s economic, environmental, social, and governance performance, including human rights. The percentage of Fortune 250 companies that have issued sustainability reports have grown from 64% to 96% in the last 15 years according to KPMG, one of the world’s top accounting firms.

Personaz was originally founded in Peru in 2016. The commitment for worldwide better business practices led Ms. Zamudio to open a branch of her consulting firm in the United States. Southwest Florida was chosen as the ideal location because of its convenient access to international travel, as Personaz serves large companies in Mexico and Central America. The firm’s clients include many sectors, such as mining, food and beverage, electrical, finance, and others.

“People must recover their values; we must do business responsibly,” says Ms. Zamudio. “In many countries, people still need to understand the importance of respecting nature and human rights. Investors are increasingly interested in ESG issues, and we must be prepared as related laws will reach us sooner than we think.”
