REIS luncheon views future of air transportation in SWFL


 

 

Lee County Port Authority will deliver an overview of air transportation and airport expansion plans, as well as airport related real development projects at the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS) luncheon on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Ben Siegel, executive director of Lee County Port Authority will be the guest speaker.

The program will include passenger and air carrier information, project updates for Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Page Field (FMY), as well as commercial real estate development at Skyplex. Following the presentation, Mr. Siegel will respond to questions of interest to the real estate investment and development industry.

Ben Siegel, CPA, CM, has served as executive director of Lee County Port Authority since November 2019 and is responsible for the administration, operations, and development of RSW and FMY. He has been with LCPA since 1992 and is an experienced airport executive with an extensive background in business and finance. Under his leadership, the Lee County Port Authority finance team secured $327 million for RSW’s Midfield Terminal Complex, which was one of the largest issuances of financing in Lee County history. The $330 million terminal expansion and renovation project is currently underway.

The meeting is sponsored by DeAngelis Diamond and will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14 in the Osprey Room at Pelican Preserve’s Clubhouse on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard, one mile east of I-75 exit 136 in Fort Myers. Admission is $30 for members and $45 for guests, which includes lunch. Reservations are required by Feb. 9 and may be made at the REIS website, www.reis-swfl.org.
